Charleston, WV – Speaking directly to West Virginians on a live stream today, Governor-elect Patrick Morrisey announced several leading West Virginians have volunteered to help him lead his gubernatorial transition.
“I am humbled and honored to have so many wonderful West Virginians willing to lend their time and talents to our gubernatorial transition to get us ready on day one to launch our agenda for the prosperity of the Mountain State,” said Governor-elect Patrick Morrisey. “These dedicated leaders share my vision to make West Virginia the shining state in the mountains.”
The co-leaders of the transition team will include:
- The Honorable Eric L. Householder, Majority Leader of the West Virginia House of Delegates
- Douglas P. Buffington II, West Virginia Attorney General Chief Deputy
- The Honorable Karen S. Evans, Partner of KE&T Partners, Former First Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response at the U.S. Department of Energy
- Julie Kominsky, Successful Businesswoman, Chairwoman of the Raleigh County Republican Executive Committee
- James Laurita, Jr., Former Chairman of the West Virginia Coal Association
- Conrad Lucas II, Former Chair of the West Virginia Republican Party
- James R. J. Martin II, President and CEO of Citynet
The transition will be assisted by several consultants who possess deep experience working for public officials: Marissa Findlay of Charleston and Scott Will, who previously served as Morrisey’s campaign manager for Attorney General and the former Executive Director of the Republican Attorneys General Association.
